OUR SERVICES

Karneval GSASA currently provides community services to seniors of 65 years or older and their carers living in Metropolitan Adelaide, priority is for persons of German-speaking background.

Seniors groups: offered on 4 days per week in various locations across Metropolitan Adelaide. Together we create a stimulating and caring environment, linking consumers back to their community. Included are transport if required, meals and activities. Occasional outings.

Social Support: For those who cannot/want not participate in groups we visit in the person’s own home or accompany them to shopping/doctor’s appointment or go on an outing.

Transport: Most transport we provide is to/from seniors groups or to take a person out during Social Support visit. Some transport can be provided to medical and other appointments.

Carer support/Respite: To those caring for a senior we offer much needed breaks through in-home respite, by inviting the senior to one of our senior’s groups or organising carer retreats.

Information/Advocacy: Where requested we provide information and advocacy on matters of aged care and services especially in German to ease understanding for our clients. Support with liaising with other service providers within our mandate can also be provided in German.

Counselling, Support, Information, Advocacy (CSIA) for Carers: GSASA provides tailored support to those caring for an elderly loved one, such as information sessions on Dementia in German or by facilitating ongoing peer support.

Coordination/Assessment: Our service is organised, maintained and reviewed per CHSP guidelines and in consultation with our consumers. Our qualified and experienced staff are mostly able to perform service assessments in German- where consumers request this or are unable to converse in English.

UNSER SERVICEANGEBOT

Karneval Das folgende Serviceangebot gilt fuer Senioren ueber 65 Jahre sowie deren Pflegende. Preferenz ist fuer Personen aus dem deutsch-sprachigen Kulturraum.

Seniorengruppen: treffen sich an 4 Tagen der Woche in verschiedenen Standorten in Adelaide. Zusammen kreieren wir eine anregenden und liebevolle Umgebung sowie engen Kontakt zur deutsch-sprachigen Gemeinde. Transport, Mahlzeiten und Aktivitaeten sind inbegriffen.

Social Support: Wer nicht an Seniorengruppen teilnehmen kann oder mag, ist vielleicht an Besuchen zu Haus interessiert, um die Einsamkeit zu durchbrechen. Wir koennen Sie auch zum Einkauf oder Arztbesuch begleiten.

Tranport: in begrenzter Verfuegung bringen wir Sie zum Art oder anderen wichtigen Terminen.

Unterstuetzung fuer Pflegende/ Pflegepausen: Wir bieten Pflegepausen im eigenen Haus oder bei Seniorengruppen, oder organisieren Auszeiten fuer Pflegende.

Information/Beratung: Wir bieten insbesondere Information und Beratung rund ums Alten-Pflegesystem in deutscher Sprache und erleichtern so das Verstaendnis.

Assessment/Koordination: Zusammen mit Ihnen erheben wir, welchen Service Sie in welcher Form wuenschen, und organisieren diesen.

Beratung, Unterstuetzung, Information und Beistand fuer Pflegende: Pflegepersonen erleichtern wir in ihrem Alltag je nach Bedarf, wie z.B. durch Informationsveranstaltungen in deutscher Sprache zum Thema Demenz oder mittels Gespraechsrunden mit anderen Pflegenden.
